Initial work to tidy the area in Nov/Dec 2007

1. An initial weed clearance and general tidy of borders will include a total weed killer to treat the paths & drives. Spraying areas with Roundup to control weeds
2. Grub out and clear brambles
3. Grub out all elders
4. Cut back large Hawthorn hedge and take 2ft off the top
5. Cut back over hanging braches from fence in car park
6. Trim edges of grassed areas
7. Clear and tidy rubbish
8. Take away all green waste to AVDC recycling centre

Garden Maintenance Specification for 2008

Visits to site as follows:
Mid March to September 08 - 2 visits per month
October & November 08 - 3 visits in all

During these visits work will be carried out as follows

1. Grass Cutting
Cutting grass using rotary mower fitted with grass collection box to give an even and uniform finish including strimming of the edges and around obstacles. Litter collection.

2. Shrub bed maintenance.
Keep flower/shrub beds free from weeds by hand hoeing, forking or chemical application.

3. Sweep paths to leave free from grass cuttings. Clear leaves from shrub beds and grass areas during late autumn.

4. Half Mooning (March & August)
Trim edges of grassed areas with half mooning edging tool or similar.

5. Pruning (Spring & Autumn)
All dead wood and suckers to be cut out cleanly from trees and shrubs and trimmed and thinned out as necessary according to species.

Application of total weed killer to footpaths and car park areas on two occasions during the year.
Hedge Cutting
Large Hawthorn Hedge cut Annually.
